In continuance of our 1st Generation of Freshness Fruit and Vegetables called FruitFreshTM We´ve developed a new and innovative post-harvest solution ArtiFreshTM, widely used in varieties of fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Intabiotech SL can support growers, packers,
shippers and retailers to enhance plant values, in a sustainable way to helping reduce food waste, agricultural losses and sustainable agriculture support around the world.
The technology behind ArtiFreshTM is the active ingredient, 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), a molecule structurally similar to ethylene, binding at ethylene receptor to prevent ethylene production of crops.
ArtiFreshTM interacts with ethylene-sensitive sites in the fruit to manage its response to
internal and external ethylene sources. This "relapses" the ripening process so that
softening and over-ripening occur much more slowly.
ArtiFreshTM is safe and leaves no detectible residues on crop. It has been evaluated by EFSA recently and it´s widely approved within the EU and the USA (GRAS FDA Recognition).

We offer different ways of application of ArtiFresh TM:
White Powder (Bulk): For Premises and sealed Cameras and Storage Compartiments (thru simple system Fumigate and Ventilate). Dissolved in water and authomatic dispersion.
Tablets: For sealed containers and shipping/transport. Just put 1 Tablet on the solution and keep container closed before transport/carriage.
Sachets: Put the sachet into fruit box directly. If there is a plastic bag in the box, make some holes on the plastic bag. Seal the plastic bag and the fruit box and product will be ready for dispatch.
Cards: Put the card into fruit box directly. If there is a plastic bag in the box, make some holes on the plastic bag. Seal the plastic bag and the fruit box will be ready for dispatch.
Stickers: (Individual) Just place a single sticker on every piece of fruit, vegetable or flower and will be ready to preserve for a long, long time on an unrivaled system.
Over 2 months full preservation without notable visual and organoleptica changes in produce.
Step 1: The sticker is placed inside the package or directly on the vegetables, fruits or flowers. (Average 1 sticker/1piece)
Step 2: Inside the package, when the humidity exceeds 85%, the sticker begins to release the active agent within 2-3 hours after placing on.
Step 3: Over the following 24 hours, the active agent is being gradually released (released liberation).
Step 4: After 48 hours, there is no residue of the active agent and fruit can be consumed as usual.

Fast and simple application method. The ethylene blocker is released from a sticker which is placed in the packaging, on a fruit or vegetable, or via a functional card
within the package or by any other system described.
Since from post-harvest is the ideal moment to apply, further application can be made at any stage of the supply chain.
Right after harvest or during transport or storage prior to sale. Stickers can be placed even by producers, wharehousers or retailers of fruit, vegetables or flowers.

Active Ingredient counts with approval of FDA (Gras Notice) and the EU (EFSA) as it´s stated in EUROPEAN COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2019/1085 of 25 June 2019 renewing the approval of the active substance, in accordance with Regulation (EC) Nº 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market, and amending the Annex to the EU Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011, and amending the Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/408.
